A cube that balances on its corner
This cube balances itself on one of its corners or an edge using three reaction wheels mounted inside the cube. A microcontroller takes readings from an inertial measurement unit and converts them to control signals for three brushless DC motors which drive the reaction wheels. More information about this cube is available on www.willempennings.nl/.

Miniature 3456 LED cube demo
Переглядів 14 тис.2 роки тому
A demonstration of a miniature 3456 LED cube that I recently built, showing a random sparkling effect. Original design by Greg Davill. More info: willempennings.nl/miniature-3456-led-cube/.
M&Ms and Skittles sorting machine
Переглядів 336 тис.7 років тому
This machine sorts M&Ms and Skittles by colour. Unsorted candy is put in a hopper on the top. Sorted candy is put into six bowls on the bottom side of the machine. It's pretty quick and sorts about 2 pieces of candy per second. It uses Arduino microcontrollers and stepper motors for quick and precise movement. A TCS34725 color sensor performs the measurements. Furthermore, the device is equippe...

doesnt this pretty much solve the walking robot balancing problem ? could literally have a single leg robot with wheel feet that hops and balance using fly wheel. no need to spent thousand of hours training machine learning model to mimic human balance, just regular good old reliable PID controller base balancing. Cheap and easy to tune. Unless the fly wheel weight needed scale horribly when change to larger scale robot.

Super
Impressive.. You just got a newer subscriber..
Please provide code for this
lovely! looks very well made as well as great performance!
Thanks so much for open sourcing this!
Sir... , This is a piece of art
A great device and what's best, it's not free energy ;)
bro wtf, i love it!
Wow, very nice and super neat : Impressive
So amazing 😮 and is interesting
COOL!
Handy place to store tomatoes
that's super cool, though I would like to see a gyroscope version that uses different types of procession to adjust its angle, that would likely last a lot longer, and you wouldn't have to worry about overspinning the wheels
Amazing job dude!
this song goes crazy
Just amazing. You did some really nice work!
why?
Counterpoint re: music - I thought the music was delightful, as is the cube :)
Saw it on HN. It's freaking awesome.
Beautiful control systems demonstration piece. Love it, great work. ❤
Zo dan...
disturbance variable = one tomato. Attack of the killer tomatoes from outer space. I like your humor. 🤣🤣🤣
It'd be awesome to see a version with a wood veneer so it seems innocuous externally
Wow a new take on the cubli!
Schat, wat was die afschrijving van €2500 eigenlijk? Jokes aside, wat een meesterwerk 👏🏻
Lekker Willem
This is incredible!
So neat!
What happens if you shake the table really quickly?
It wasn't grand or monumental, no soaring arches or earth-shattering mechanisms. It was delicate, almost ephemeral, held aloft by invisible threads of pure delight.
Sketche please for arduino nano
Top content. Thank you sir
Hi, do you sello the machine? thanks!!
SO LIKE IM ON MY WAY TO THE STORE TO BUY A SHIT TON OF SKITTLES FOR THIS EXACT PURPOSE WHERE DO I BUY ONE???
👍
مشروعك جميل اريد انا اصنع مثله هل تستاطيع التواصل معي
Не знаю зачем, но он мне нужОн))))
Отличная штука
< miniature 3456 LED cube 2.0 => LED dice cube ? >
Cool :)
Excellent work, looks great
Wow I'm truly impressed. Now I can separate my candy while I'm doing something else
wow. that is amazing.
Why does this system have 2 Arduinos?
dont afraide ..peolpee dont eat toyr code
Very cool I'm looking g to build something similar for one of my classes. Do yoynshare the code so I can see how you programmed it?
This is great when kids want what colour m&ms or skittles they like
